#Chinese folklore at Haw Par Villa
“Come on an overcast day: the statues photograph beautifully without harsh glare, and the hillside stays cooler.”
About this idea
Built by the Tiger Balm family, Haw Par Villa is one of Asia's last hand-built mythology parks, filled with over a thousand vividly painted statues retelling Chinese legends and moral tales. The famous Ten Courts of Hell dioramas are gloriously gruesome, while the rest of the hillside is peaceful and strange. Entry is free and it never feels crowded.
