#Thian Hock Keng Temple and Amoy Street mural
“Walk to the rear wall on Amoy Street to see the full painted history mural.”
About this idea
Dedicated to Mazu, goddess of the sea, this 1840s Hokkien temple was assembled without nails, its beams locked together and topped with dragons and gilded carvings. Around the back, Yip Yew Chong's 44-metre mural traces the Hokkien immigrant story along Amoy Street.
